What this desk is told, and how little of it is kept

A first name, or whatever name you prefer. A hotel. A date, a time and a length. A flight number if you offer one, because landings are easier to plan around than clocks. And, once you have checked in, a room number.

That is the whole of it. Nothing else about you is asked for or needed to arrange an evening.

No card number, no bank detail, no document, no photograph of a passport, no home address and no employer. Not at any stage, not for any booking, not to confirm anything. Nobody from this desk will ever request any of it.

If a message claiming to be from here does ask, it is not from here. Tell Hester and she will confirm the real thread.

The room number is deleted when the evening ends. The rest of the conversation is kept only while it is useful, which for most guests means a few weeks, and is then cleared. Returning guests sometimes ask that a thread stays so nothing has to be explained twice, and that is done on request rather than by default.

Nothing is ever sold, shared or passed to a third party, including hotels. No hotel on the airport areas pages is told anything about you, because no hotel is involved in a booking at all.

Bookings are arranged over WhatsApp and Telegram, both of which encrypt what you send between you and the desk. Which you use is entirely your choice and neither is treated as more official than the other.

Whichever you choose, keep the whole booking in that one thread, from the first message to the room number, so the confirmation, the arrival time and any change to either sit in one place when you want to check them.

No booking detail is ever put in a web address, a link or a query string, so nothing about you can be read from a URL or left in a browser history. Measurement, if you agree to it, is aggregate only and is described on the cookies page.

You may ask at any point what is held about you and ask for it to be deleted. Both are done without argument, usually the same day.
