About Michelle
There is a stretch of the Bath Road between Harlington Corner and the Longford turn where the hotels stand shoulder to shoulder, and Michelle knows every entrance along it. Curvy and 173 cm, her dark brown hair long and straight well past her shoulders, her brown eyes holding steady when she is making a point, and she makes a few. Twenty seven, she dresses for evening rather than for travel: a fitted dress, a heel with real height in it, a coat she hands over at the door and forgets about entirely.
Confident is the first word guests reach for and warm is the second. She has the knack of turning a stiff first fifteen minutes into something easy without anyone quite noticing how it happened. English is what she speaks and she is very good at it, including the part most people skip, which is listening without already preparing an answer. She swims in open air pools all summer and complains about the whole business right through the winter.
The hotel with the inner courtyard is her favourite address on this road, mostly for that covered garden in the middle of it, which is a strange and genuinely pleasant thing to find behind a Bath Road frontage. Dinner there, or at whichever hotel you are already in, then a walk if the wind off the field allows it. Michelle travels out from Chelsea, usually by road, fifty minutes on a clear evening and a good deal more at six. Airport evenings here run to three hours at least, the travel counted in, which she thinks is simply the honest way to price a journey.
The Bath Road page lists every entrance along the stretch and the terminal each one actually suits. Tell Hester where you are staying. The rest of the evening becomes her problem rather than yours.

Booking her evening
Give Hester the hotel name rather than the terminal, because half the Bath Road addresses serve a terminal nobody would guess. She will confirm the start time and the length, three hours upwards.
Her figures are the desk figures, published in full on rates, and the whole arrangement runs in one thread from the first line to the confirmation. Every frame in the hall is reached from the hall.

An evening with Michelle
Michelle would rather start downstairs than in the room, for the first half hour at least, and she picks the bar herself. The Skyline courtyard is her usual answer: a covered square in the middle of a hotel that looks like nothing at all from the road, warm in winter and quiet by nine. She is properly good company there, quick and funny and interested, and she has the trick of making a hotel bar feel like a decision rather than a default. Dinner follows, unhurried, with the kind of conversation that goes somewhere. Later, weather permitting, she will suggest ten minutes outside before the end of the evening, because the Bath Road at night has a strange beauty to it that almost nobody stops to look at. Then upstairs, and the rest of the booking is yours.

Written in afterwards
Nothing is written here for Michelle yet, which out here is usually what discretion looks like. A note appears only when a guest writes one, she agrees to it, and the desk has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
