About Liana
Longford is four streets and a stream, tucked behind the western end of the Bath Road with Terminal 5 near enough to hear, and Liana treats it as the quietest address she works. Slim, 167 cm, her chestnut brown hair long and straight, her brown eyes not wandering once while you are speaking. Twenty eight, she dresses plainly and well: a dark dress, a coat that means it, nothing that would look wrong in a village pub or a hotel bar. She has the rare gift of being noticed only by the person she came to see.
She is calm enough to be restful, with a memory for detail that guests find slightly unnerving the second time they meet her. Her humour is dry and it arrives late in the evening rather than early. Her English is spare, and she spends less of it than most people do, which is a quality rather than a shortage. She grows herbs on a windowsill in town and talks about them the way other people talk about pets.
The White Horse on the Bath Road at Longford is the oldest thing in the village and the obvious place to begin, a twenty minute walk from Terminal 5 or five minutes in a car. From there it is a short run to the large hotel beside the village or across to the Terminal 5 hotels. Liana travels out from Marylebone, usually on the Elizabeth line to the airport, thirty minutes, then a short ride west along the road. The last service back into town goes around half past eleven, which is worth knowing before anyone plans an early night that turns out not to be one. Bookings here begin at three hours with travel counted within them.
Four streets, one stream and the Terminal 5 approach, all explained on the Longford page. A short note to Hester does the rest. Liana is out this far west less often than the others, so ask early.

Booking her evening
Hester holds Longford nights around flight times rather than clock times, since almost every guest here is on an early departure. Ask her for Liana's return date and she will pencil you in for it.
Her figures are the desk figures, published in full on rates, and the whole arrangement runs in one thread from the first line to the confirmation. Every frame in the hall is reached from the hall.

An evening with Liana
Longford evenings are short on options and long on quiet, and Liana has made that into a virtue. She meets you at the hotel and, if you have any appetite for it, walks you the few hundred metres into the village, where the White Horse has been in business since the road west actually was the road west. One drink, then dinner back at the hotel. She is not a performer. What she offers instead is an evening in which nobody has to keep the conversation moving: she is entirely comfortable with a pause, and most guests discover halfway through that they are too. Later the village goes quiet in a way that feels impossible a mile from Terminal 5. She keeps an eye on your morning without once mentioning it, and she goes with enough of the night left for you to sleep.
Liana, in her own words
How close is Terminal 5 really?
Is there anywhere to eat besides the hotel?
You do not talk much. Is that deliberate?

Written in afterwards
Nothing is written here for Liana yet, which out here is usually what discretion looks like. A note appears only when a guest writes one, she agrees to it, and the desk has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
